The Reel Deal
I gotta give a promotion for the LJ community thereeldeal. It has reviews of theatrical and DVD releases, a weekly listing of the new movies coming out, new DVDs and every trailer out there. It's based on a weekly public access show based in Austin TX and a new comic strip is posted every week as well based on the cast members of the show. I like to think at the very least its one of the best organized LJ movie sites out there. Come check us out.

shameless plug from the new guy...
allo all...

I need album and movie reviews for the new website I launched today. Guzzlefish.com. it's a site that let's you keep track of your dvds and cds online, outputs the coverart and even runs up some stats of whats in your collection and what your favorite genres and stuff are. pretty fun if it's a sunday night at 3am and you're bored. anyways, i'd love to see some fellow indie kids take over the boards or pump up some decent bands in the global most collected cds stats. if you're interested in possibly writing for us send me a note at dsnider@guzzlefish.com

7/10 Picture could be better, Anchor bay will be taking care of that sometime in 2003, but as for now this is the best release.

For dvd collectors
Anchor bay put out a 3 disc Sleepaway Camp dvd box set. The bleeding hearts at Red Cross got in an uproar about the Survival Kit first-aid art featuring the red cross necessitating that Anchor Bay replace the box sets with new art, resulting in instant high collector status for the original versions.

ORIGIONAL COVER ---------------------------- NEW COVER

There was a limited edition of the set that included a bonus disc of the never finished 4th film. It includes all the footage shot, 34 min.

You cannot buy this set anywhere on the Internet.
It's is extremely hard to find now.
I happen to have 2 sealed 4 disc box sets with the original cover art.
And I am offering them for sale hear before I go to e-bay with them.
$60 Canadian or $40 U.S. shipped.
In Canada I will ship express post with tracking number, and global priority to the U.S. anywhere else, e-mail me about shipping. I won't send it anywhere without it being traceable, for your safety.

e-mail me if interested or have any questions.

Here I will keep you up to date with what is going into print and what is going out of print. All the info on movies being released on dvd that you most likely won't hear about.

MGM - SWAMP THING

Some interesting new. The Swamp Thing dvd has been recalled as of yesterday. On the package it has a rating of "PG" but it is in fact not that version but a never before released "Unrated" version with more sex and violence.
There is no word on if this will be reprinted with the proper "PG" version of the film on the disc or a change in packaging. There is also the possibility that it is not going to be re-released. So all you collectors, grab it while you still can.
